Flipped Education Project in China
We believe that education is an essential part of our life. However, we recognized that not everyone has access to the same education resources as others. Therefore, we hope to use our power to reduce education inequality.
Inspired by our childhood memory of visiting our father’s hometown, a small town in Southern China, we decided to begin our first step at WangJinCun elementary school. We reached out to one of our collaborators Kevin XiaoDan Wang in China. With Wang’s help, we successfully contacted the principal and teachers at WangJinCun elementary school. After discussing with the teachers, we selected and purchased books, sent them to school, and had the school distribute them to students who were unable to afford these books. This allowed students attending WangJinCun elementary to have equal access to resources which gives them equal learning opportunities at school.
